Breast Cancer Screening On Trial: What should publicly funded programs cover?

  • At what age should average-risk women have a mammogram and how often should it be done?
  • How much screening should be covered by insurance and public programs like Medicare?
  • Does current coverage by publicly funded programs offer "good value" to the American public?

Join us for an interactive evening as we put mammogram screening guidelines “on trial” and explore the process of developing evidence-based coverage decisions.  We'll compare how decisions made by public funders may differ from those made by community members.

As a member of the audience you will serve on a jury.  You will have a chance to ask questions from the expert witnesses, deliberate, and reach a verdict.  We will conclude with an open discussion.
